Nokia E71 does the Edinburgh Fringe
This month Ewan has been running around the Edinburgh Festival making recordings for his Fringe Podcast. To keep him in communication range (voice and Contacts), organised (Calendar) and on track (Nokia Maps) he's been using a Nokia E71. In this editorial he describes his E71 enabled Fringe experience.
Nokia's latest E-Series device, the E71, is a sleek piece of kit, and certainly ticks a lot of boxes for the Enterprise crowd. As with the E90, many industry watchers are looking at the E71 as 'the' executive phone for the next few years. But once you take it out of a clinical 'let's make sure we review every application and try every function' labs, what is it like in the real world?
I'm currently doing some work at the Edinburgh Fringe (as you may recall), and it's time to take the E71 on a real world test. It might have a bundle of fancy features and gee-whizz for us geeks, but as a tool, how does it work out?
Read on in the full editorial for more.

one thing i haven't worked out yet is how to make the default meetings i put into calendar not have an alarm. very annoying having to turn the alarm off for every meeting.
It might be time to finally take another serious look at Symbian, especially with S60-touch just around the corner.
However strange it might sound, but it seems, e71 is doing a better job than e90 for ewan at the fringe!
Atleast, its getting him more admiring glances for his phone!!
Nokia will be very pleased with this feedback.
